You can choose from many types of retaining walls, including poured concrete, conventional stacked blocks, and stackable decorative blocks that need no mortar.

The ideal landscape plan has both growing plants and hardscape elements that allow you and your family to physically enjoy the beauty of your outdoor spaces. Patios, walkways and paths are the elements that give you that access. A path or walkway lets you move around and enjoy every corner of your home's landscaping, while a patio or deck invites you to stay for a while, taking time to be refreshed in your own 'oasis'. Hardscapes, decks, patios and walks are proof that your home doesn't end at your door but extends outside, where all are invited to come and enjoy.

Fire pits are a big part of the outdoor design trend. Proper fire pit design will help you get the most warmth and beauty for your dollar; many portable and custom fireplaces are constructed to conserve warmth around their perimeter. Walls and masonry are placed close by to absorb heat and gently radiate it back on people enjoying the fire pit. Your custom fire pit can burn propane, natural gas, or wood, depending on your preference, but size and heat output will vary. If you live on an incline, be it a steep slope or moderate hills, you may wish to integrate outdoor steps or stairways into your landscape. In many cases, hardscaped steps can provide a warmer and more inviting walk space than a regular outdoor stairway. On the other hand, there might be a raised patio where a transition is required to get to a lower or upper level.
